Two projects shortlisted for Housing Design Awards

We are delighted to have two of our projects shortlisted for this year's Housing Design Awards: The Nightingale Estate for the London Borough of Hackney in collaboration with KCA and Stephen Taylor and Chadwick Hall student housing for the University of Roehampton. Both projects represent Henley Halebrown’s continued interest in a wide range of housing typologies that highlight the importance of genius loci, human scale development and community feel.

Nightingale Estate gets go ahead

Henley Halebrown is delighted to be part of the team that has just secured planning permission for a 400-home scheme in Hackney. Led by Karakusevic Carson Architects, the team also includes Stephen Taylor Architects and Townshend Landscape Architects. The homes will be built on derelict land and form the third phase of the estate’s ongoing development. Simon Henley describes the practice's approach, " .. the design of the buildings on the Nightingale Estate firmly integrates the new homes into their public realm, creating streets and ensuring that the residential additions to the area feel connected to the rest of the city."
