This masterplan provides a framework for the renovation of the St. George’s Walk city block, and the retention where practicable of existing buildings including Ronald Ward’s No1 Katharine Street on the High Street. A new 8-storey residential building and 18-storey tower on the south side of the city block adjacent to the park frames the proposed Town Hall Square opposite the Grade II listed Croydon town hall and clock tower.
